What is the HERD?
Honor, Effort, Responsibility and Dedication are the school-wide expectations for all students and staff at Moseley. It is expected that these behaviors be rewarded and reinforced. Formally as a school we utilize HERD stickers, positive behavior referrals, as well as HERD assemblies to reward and acknowledge students.
Provide positive role models for the students during their school day.
Provide an extra set of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.
Who is part of the HERD?
They are all important figures of athority in our childrens' lives, who volunteer for at least one day a year at the school. During the day HERD members may read and work with the students, play at recess, help with lunch, watch school entrances and hallways, assist with traffic flow and any other assigned activities where they actively engage with not only their own student(s), but others as well.
Not only do you help the students and the school, but you also gain a greater awareness of the positive impact you can have on your child’s life in three critical areas: academic performance, self esteem and social behavior.
